ATP Lab Total Defense 120caps is a high quality multi-vitamin supplement that helps the body to metabolize carbohydrates, fats and proteins, form red blood cells, and maintain eyesight, skin, membranes and immune function. It also helps in the development and maintenance of bones and teeth, connective tissue formation, wound healing, and the absorption and use of calcium and phosphorus. It is an antioxidant for the maintenance of good health and provides support for healthy glucose metabolism. It helps to produce and repair connective tissue and is a source of amino acids involved in muscle protein synthesis.
The recommended dose for adults is two capsules three times a day with food/meal, and should be taken a few hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products. Consult a healthcare practitioner for use beyond 12 weeks. Cautions and warnings include consulting a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you have a liver disorder, cardiovascular disease, kidney disorder and/or diabetes, and if you are taking sulfonamides, anticoagulants/blood thinners, anti-inflammatories, or are having surgery. People sensitive to nicotinic acid may experience flushing of the skin that is generally mild and transient. Contra-indications include taking nitroglycerin, using with other potassium-containing supplements or with potassium-containing salt-substitutes, being pregnant or breastfeeding, and taking antibiotics. Known adverse reactions include hypersensitivity (e.g. allergy), nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Store in a cool and dry area, and keep out of reach of children.
